This transformer is for step-up, step-down, and split phase output applications. A step-up can generate a 240V output from a 120V input, while a step-down produces a 120V output from a 240V input. In split phase output balancing, even an unbalanced load can output 100A with a 240V input. The transformer automatically balances the load. See the attached data sheet for more details.
